The Demise of an Amazon
Pastor Patience Umo Eno, the Wife of Akwa Ibom State Governor and Initiator of the Golden Initiative For All (GIFA), was born on Monday February 20, 1967, in the ancient city of Ibadan, Oyo State, to Mr Friday John Ekong Inyang of Ikot Akpa Ekop, Ikpa Ibom Clan and his wife Justina of Esa Ekpo, Ibiaku clan both of Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
Pastor Patience Eno who is the first child of her parents, attended Eleja Primary School Surulere in Lagos State, where she obtained her First School Leaving Certificate before proceeding to the Idi Araba High School in Lagos State where she served as the Assembly Prefect.

Her love for humanity and supportive role as the Wife of the Governor and First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, has earned her numerous accolades including the Phoebe Award, Honorary member of AWEP Nigeria and Beacon of Hope Business Community Award. Your Excellency, my brother, I know the pain that you are going through. We Cross Riverians share deeply in this pain. I believe that the Almighty God will always be with you. On behalf of the government and people of Cross River State, I condole and console you on the loss of your dear wife. It is a great loss not only to Akwa Ibom but to the entire Cross River. We want you to understand that during this moment of grief, we will walk leg to leg with you.
We are here at a very solemn moment. We came to express our deepest condolences to you on the passing of your wife, Her Excellency, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Umo Eno. She was always behind you each time we watched your activities on TV. May God console you and give your deceased wife a place in His bosom
I am here to condole you, and the good people of Akwa Ibom. Everybody knows how painful it is to lose a love one. All I can say is may God Almighty who is pleased to call her home by this time grant her eternal rest and grant you and members of the family and indeed all of us the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.
May God grant you the fortitude to bear this great loss, and may He grant their daughter, Mrs. Helen Obareki, the grace to lead the pet project and other programs of the Office of the First Lady effectively.

My wife, Dr. (Mrs.) Martha Udom Emmanuel and I received the devastating news of the passing of our State's First Lady, H.E. Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Umo Eno and we are saddened and pained by this unfortunate event. I pray for God's strength on the Governor, H.E. Umo Eno, his family and our State in general. May her soul RIP.
